Safe Streets Program

The DHA applied to the City’s Slow Street’s Program in 2018 with overwhelming support from the community, however without success. Since then we have worked closely with local elected officials, as well as both the BTD and BPD on trouble spots to help make the streets in and around the Association’s boundaries safer for pedestrians and motorists alike. Through this partnership, rapid flash pedestrian crossing signs have recently been implemented at many crossing points including the intersection of E. 4th St. and Dorchester Street.
